Preparation before use
Cleaning the skin: Make sure there is no oil, sweat or lotion on the taping area, and shave off excess body hair if necessary to enhance adhesion.
Cut the tape: Cut according to the size of the target area, and round the edges to prevent the tape from rolling up or falling off.
Taping steps
Anchor point fixation: Attach one end of the tape (anchor point) to the skin without tension, and apply tension to the rest of the tape as needed (usually natural tension or medium tension).
Sweep and fit: Use your fingers or palms to sweep and press along the direction of the tape 5 times to ensure that the tape fits the skin completely.
Special parts taping:
Knee stability: Use the "O-type + claw-type" taping method to relieve pain and promote circulation.
Calf force: Tape from the anchor point at the bottom of the heel to the knee pit to enhance the push-off action
Precautions
The taping time should not exceed 24 hours to avoid prolonged pressure on the skin.
Tape at least 1 hour before exercise to ensure that the body adapts.
Prevention before exercise
Tape before high-intensity exercise such as squats, running, and weightlifting to prevent muscle strain and joint injury.
Support during exercise
Continuously provide muscle support to reduce the risk of fatigue and cramps (such as jumping and dancing movements).
Recovery after exercise
Relieve muscle soreness and promote blood circulation and lymphatic return.
Auxiliary treatment of injuries
Auxiliary repair of acute or chronic injuries such as sprains, tendonitis, and arthritis.
Promote blood circulation and lymphatic return
Elastic tape increases the interstitial space of tissues through micro-tension and accelerates the discharge of metabolic waste.
Reduce swelling and inflammation
Taping the knee joint, plantar fasciitis and other parts can reduce edema and inflammatory response.
Provide dynamic support
Does not restrict joint movement, while enhancing muscle contraction ability and improving joint stability.
Breathable and comfortable
Highly elastic cotton or silicone material fits the skin and is suitable for long-term wear.
Accelerated recovery
Clinical studies have shown that the combination of Kinesio Tape and exercise therapy can shorten recovery time (e.g., tenosynovitis, runner’s knee)
